...I was doing someones hair the day I first saw my guitar ... a guy was walking down the street with it, and knew that guitar was mine (a 1953 weathered Fender Telecaster) .. I said I'll get you the most beautiful guitar you've ever seen and I'll trade you straight across ... I found him a purple Telecaster and said here's your guitar ... that was it, it was like he knew that guitar belonged to me...~ Roy Buchanan

I saw Roy in a dump in Hollywood when I first moved out here. I was a big fan of his 1st album, and was anxious to hear his playing.Although his guitar was cool, Roy wasn't. He was out of his mind on booze or who knows what, and played through a borrowed Marshall half stack. --- You know how bad a Marshall can sound without tweaking it! Well, it sounded like a little pig squealing. Too bad.Roy Buchanan died a few months later.RIP Roy --- you were a true talent.Ern
