Plus every acoustic track no longer has the ghost "click click click" imbedded in the file.By request, I've replicated Ibanez's "Speilberg" home movie post. Here's "The Pond", featuring the home-made-not-quite-junk speakers in all their plywood and outdoor carpeting glory. I take it the rules for this creation include music must be recorded there to provide background?http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... 720CBWatch for the lavalamp at the ending!P.S. I compressed the video file for sending...and the music ended up getting kinda "jangly"...oh man, I have so much to learn!Nice setup! Wood floors and all! Like the "not too much reverb" mantra as well. Of course the lava lamp has a place of honor.Cheers!Mazz

yeah Milfus, that would be the ONLY reason i would go back to any kind of schooling....if i didnt love my life in Korea, thats probably what i would be doing...either going to a production school as a student or an intern or chasing after, being chased by girls on the beaches of Boracay: )here's to all three!

Congrats on the upgrade Geo, sounds like it's working out well! What model did you pick up? Are they self powered, or are you driving with an amp? I've always like the M Audio stuff for the price. Since the mobile-pre was my very first recording gear purchase...and I now have a tiny keyboard from them. Here's another angle...does anyone use crappy monitors on purpose when mixing?I've been thinking of wiring in some really 'limited' speakers up front, just to compare when mixing. I heard the big boys used to do this when they mixed for radio...and it's also good when mixing for TV?Just curious...this may be the only change I attempt in the studio that doesn't cost a LOT of money hehehe.
Earplugs may be required for anyone over the age of cool.
