I like the idea of having an uber-eclectic jam session. If only I could bring my bamboo sax (the one with the gourd bell), or my upright alligator suitcase bass. Too big for the airplane. Dang it. And yes, I really do have a suitcase bass. Here's a picture of my daughter (who is a bass player) with it:

Fun and goofy (and actually has a great sound!). It's acoustic/ electric, and is made out of all recycled parts, by Niels Nielsen of the Corvallis Vacuum Tube collective (a gang of former Hewlett-Packard Engineers who build unusual instruments and amps).
