New Symphonic Piece

Post by ernstinen » Wed Jan 11, 2006 10:51 am

Hi Guys,I just finished a new symphonic piece entitled "Ash-Shaytan." It's a musical depiction of some personal struggles that I had to deal with in 2005. I figured that rather than sitting around moaning and groaning about this situation, I would try to make something positive out of it by channeling my energies into creating this music.Although "Ash-Shaytan" is pretty intense at times, in the end there is a ray of hope for a better 2006! "Ash-Shaytan" can be heard at my website:http://www.broadjam.com/ernstinenIt's about 10 minutes in length, so be patient! Ern

'93 was a crazy year for me. It would take me a year to tell you about it.

Hey man,I like your ability to change gears... be it subtle or grotesque (in the good way!)It's got a slight Ben Britten quality, with maybe a little Rzewski influence (in the opening figure).btw, is that Arches NP in the background of your picture? Looks like the trail to Hidden Arch.

She was selling bead necklaces, so I bought one and in exchange she took the photo. It was somewhere is central Utah, I'm not sure where.Ern
