Yes, thanks Michael, we've all been there, when it comes to recalcitrant software; I'm sure you'll get it whipped into shape.

We've had a ton of problems with this forum software. It's FAR more complicated than one can imagine. While our PhD. from USC was trying to get to the bottom of the Guest posting issues, the forum decided to re-incorporate some of the old theme colors.

I've spent enough money on these issues to buy a decent used car at this point.... not kidding!

We have run these issues by experts on the top forums for phpbb forums and nobody has been able to offer a solution that has worked. We are now reinstalling it from scratch on a QA server so we don't interrupt service on this forum. Hopefully, re-building it from scratch will enable us to get rid of spam, guest posts, ugly colors and enable our admin control panel clicks to actually DO something. We ARE clicking the right things, but the buttons don't do $#i+!!!!!!!!

We are fully aware of these issues and working hard to resolve them. Please be patient.

thanks,
Michael
It gives us something to b$&ch about. Take ya time. And thank you fo the big investment in the forums (good choice!), both financially and with everyone's time. It's gonna be great once the kinks are out. :) GREAT job!

Hi Folks,

Okay, the lemons are gone and so are many of the other issues related to the new Forum. I'm putting the techies back on TAXI 2.0. BTW, we think we've nailed the posting as guest issue, which will knock out the spam posts.

Wanna know what the problem was? ONE misimported name from when we scraped the old forum post by post, name by name, date by date, etc. and reconstituted them on this forum. One lousy name!

Hopefully things will be running smoothly enough that we can stay focused on the bigger (and MUCH cooler) issues :D

To no more lemons,
Michael

I'm quite curious about Taxi 2.0. What are some of the features?
