ONOFFON's SSP of the Day is more from Unsigned Music Magazine. In leaving the direct link to the downloadable magazine, I bypassed the intro page -http://www.unsignedmusicmag.com/cart3.htmOn this page, scroll down and click the link that reads "Launch UNSIGNED Media Player". Then, choose Harry Babasin on the drop down artist selection and you can stream three Harry Babasin originals. They are from an album that won him a Playboy All-Star Jazz Poll nomination in 1958.THAT'S the real deal...

Today's ONOFFON SSP of the Day is airplay for our erotic rock hit, "Wet Legs" - seems to be a hit, especially with women... "ONOFFON,Happy New Year! I've featured one of your songs on the new stream of Pirate Radio. The site is rapidly getting a reputation because of the cool music on it. Listens are way up and I owe it all to the bands and labels. Thanks for letting me stream you on Pirate Radio. Von, I hope all is well! Peace for the New Year,Les"Pirate Radiohttp://www.preyinglizardmusic.com/pirateradio.htmlMuch thanks to Les for including us in his playlist!

Let's go to another article about my father for today's ONOFFON SSP of the Day. This one was written by the world famous arts and culture columnist for the Dallas Observer, Robert Wilonsky. His columns often are republished in newspaper across the country. Here's the link where it is posted in their archives -Back To The BassDallas-born Harry Babasin was one of jazz's great bass players - and is one of its most forgotten pioneersby Robert Wilonskyhttp://www.dallasobserver.com/issues/2000-12-0 ... htmlSlowly, but surely, I'm getting the history books rewritten...

ONOFFON's SSP of the Day is yet another honor for my father, Harry Babasin. In December of 2002, an organization called Los Angeles Music Week honored Harry for his cultural contributions to the city of L.A. -Pictured here are two awards presented to me honoring Harry - the first is a Certificate of Commendation signed by L.A. Mayor James Hahn, I received at City Hall, and the second is the Los Angeles Music Week Award, presented at the awards banquet at the Wilshire Grand Hotel... it was a wonderful series of events...

The ONOFFON SSP of the Day consists of some more reviews on "The Gift Must Always Move" on the Mixposure website -Mixposure - The Gift Must Always Movehttp://www.mixposure.com/song.php?songid=762Reviews for The Gift Must Always Move by ONOFFON Overall reviewer's score: 9.32Reviewed by: Kaos Axiom - 12/29/2004 "Mellow - Soft and gentle sounds and textures. I can feel the drummer barely brushing the set and the guitar and bass caressing the strings on the fretboard. This song is almost like sunday morning sex. Great track, great band. Germ"Reviewed by: MrGroove - 12/25/2004"Soothing - I have a headache but it's already melting away listening to this wonderful track. Very subtle phrasing, relaxing and warm. Great rhythm feeling. Builds up very nicely keeping the interest of the listener throughout. Very professional production. Just great musicianship."Reviewed by: randomheroes - 12/22/2004 "Tight - Great harmonic work. This song is very very very relaxing, there really is something going on here and i know its good. Complicated guitar work comes off clean and shining. Totally amazing. But the harmonics, i totally dig."Reviewed by: pachoski - 12/22/2004 "What a RUSH.... - I really enjoyed the guitar and the rest was just as good! This song really lets you get into the sound and flow with ease. Production is supurb, just the right amount of percussion etc. Leaves one wishing the song was longer... "Thanks to all these reviewers! The Mixposure site is a great OMD - all indies should check it out...

Today's ONOFFON SSP of the Day comes from an online radio station that added us to their playlist a few months ago. Every year, they hold a write in campaign to choose their Record of the Year. Unfortunately, our song, "Shadowglass" was added too late in the year to meet their criteria for their 2004 campaign. Fortunately, we did made the cut for their 2005 competition, so now we are one of the early entries to qualify for Record of the Year 2005. Here's the page -Radio Six Internationalhttp://www.radiosix.com/roty.htmlThere is a long time for this to take place - obviously, voting will be throughout the year - but, if you feel like giving us the nod, you can easily vote by email. Email to - votes@radiosix.com - with the word "Vote" as the subject. Please include your name, address and selection so that they can verify the vote, and voting is restricted to one vote per person.BTW - our song "The Gift Must Always Move" has just entered their new playlist and, if it stays for the required number of times, it will also qualify for voting. Radio Six International Current Playlisthttp://www.radiosix.com/playlist.htmlThey may continue adding our tracks throughout the year so bookmark the page and see if your favorite ONOFFON track makes the competition...

ONOFFON's SSP of the Day is from a new fan in Italy that just discovered our music today - here is an email I received this morning -Subject: Bravi!Date: Mon, 10 Jan 2005 00:16:28 +0100To: ONOFFON <onoffon@onoffon.com>"Hey, Guys, you rock!I was in search of some good new music – I’m a big fan of Prog Rock and Fusion – and after listened to your Surrender Now (downloaded from emusic.com) I can tell for sure I found a new group to listen to.I am fascinated about your non categorized music (Jazz? Rock? Prog Rock? New Age?) and I wonder why I haven’t heard of you before now.I hope you’ll receive all you wish for and don’t give up if the commercial cirkus of music guided by the mass media prefer Jennifer Lopez or similar to you: not always the money and the fame are the main object of the life of a group.Thank You again for your good music!Mauro Re Garbagnati"Our sincere thanks to Mauro for listening and appreciating what we do and how we do it!

I'm still waiting. Yeah Doctor Jazz - Rotcod Zzaj - he's been writing under that name for a while now... Well, Drew... I don't know what to tell you... I guess the label didn't agree with TAXI's assessment of our music or they haven't gotten around to us yet or... who knows.I'm still waiting too...
