$$ Paying A Publisher/Library In A Non-Exclusive Deal ??

Hi All,


I was recently offered/invited to a non-exclusive deal with a Library (Non - TAXI connection), whereby part of the deal was that

I PAY them $350 yearly(to cover for pitching related expenses - so they say) and also submit around 10 tracks a year.

Also,they only take their Sync Fee portion and NOT your publishing.



Is this the new norm these days ?? coz this is very new to my ears.

This is crooked. Run away. Legit publishers and libraries DO NOT charge you to pitch your songs.

I often wonder if you are putting us on and laughing at your own private joke. If you were serious about this deal sounding "interesting," what about it sounds that way to you? Just curious.

Running away from this deal sounds good.

I had my Suspicion Bull Sh*t radar - ON as soon as I was told this was a non-TAXI affiliated contact.
