Sounds great; thanks again to everyone for the help. I'll post back in here in a few weeks with the results.

A solution would be just to turn the music track way down when im tracking the vocals and adjust the EQ a bit so I can still hear clearly then? And in the end, it can be brought up and placed nicely in the mix once I transfer?I think this would also remove the crazy sibilance issue I have too when I record because it goes away when im recording with a level that isnt so hot.Riigghhht! No need ta' blast the instrumental tracks. What's recorded there is there ta' stay. You're allowed to turn them down, and record your vocals at a reasonable volume. No need ta' strain anything. Once you're done recording everything at nice, even, reasonable volumes, then you can bump things up in the mix, and blast your vox & instruments. But for recording purposes, not necessary. Ya' don't want any clipping goin' on while you're recording, but ya' don't want to record a weak signal either. Get as loud as you can without clipping. If it clips, back down on the volume until you can sing the loudest part of the song without clipping. Then adjust your instrument track as well so it's audible enough for ya'. Then you should be all GOOD! Quote:and if anyone wants an Antares Vocal Producer, hardly used, looks like I might be selling mine HA! Already have one! You might just wanna' hold onto it. Ya' never know. Might come in handy later on when you get a handle on how ta' mix & tweak your vocals. It doubles vocals pretty nicely. Might be somethin' you'd wanna do later on. Just my .02.I-468
