Once she gets her room sound and mic placement dialed, we can dig into compression and reverb...I like Michael's idea of posting a raw wav file, or even high quality mp3. Then a bunch of us could mix it and post the results. Could be a great exercise and Vikki would end up with a nice mix, too...
