My publisher died!..Now what??!!

Does anyone know if there is a way to regain publishing after the publisher dies?? In addition he owed me some royalties. There was no provision in the contract.Thanks,Andy

The rights he owned or leased are part of his estate, unless he incorporated. (if he was sole owner of an incorporated biz, the same would most likely apply) You're probably in limbo 'til the estate clears probate. You might be able to buy back your rights, if you can find out who the executor is-should be public record. I am not a lawyer.

well good luck with D.S. and have a blast in Vegas - did you guys know that Andy was one of the 5 winners of the Broadjam "Win A Date With A Publisher" contest and will be attending the ACM awards show and assorted private concerts this weekend? yay!!!Claire
