hey Chitsi was a big listener of the Verve...esp their debut e.p and their "storm in heaven" album...sonic bliss...hmm what happened? well from what i hear John Ashcroft, theleader and singer of the band kind of called all of the shots..so as usual, artistic/control and conflict was most probably the demise of the band...good to know you dig them too, Chits..as some would callthe Verve's early stuff "space rock" and you know how i think that space is the place!: DBe sure to listen to "endless life" off their 1st e.p.its what threw me into the world of space rock!!:)

I've been listening to some of their earlier stuff on You Tube lately.....I was familiar with stuff like "Bittersweet Symphony" of course, but I've never fully explored their other stuff. I just heard "Lucky Man" on the radio the other day, and now I'm getting all jazzed about them all over again. I'll explore You Tube concerning them, and then it's time to purchase some of their CD's. Well, I'm glad to know The Verve is what influenced you....now that I think of it, I can hear them in your music. "Lucky Man" is other wordly to me...it just takes me to a place in the sky somewhere....such a beautiful song.

Hey I have a cool autographed platinum cd thingy that was given to me by The Verve because I was one of the first to give them airplay on the East Coast (I had a music video show that worked in conjunction with a local radio show). Also had a cool one from Greenday, Matchbox 20, Bush . . . I gave them all to my daughter to decorate her apartment. It's kind of cool, you walk into her apartment & there's all of these gold & platinum records & CDs on her wall, looks like you're walking into a bigtime studio or something. Her friends really think it's cool.

Liam!hehe thats an interesting storythe verve was sued by the stones for samping that songim not sure what the results were..but i think it cost the Vervea pretty penny~whats really funny is that to get back at Jagger...Aschcroft tookhis Mick's son out to the bar and got him completely drunkand then left the drunkin mess of him at Jagger's door step
