All I can say is, every musician who is serious about their music career should be at the Road Rally. There's nothing more fun and inspiring than being around people who share similar goals and truly love what they do. I look forward to the Rally every year and even schedule my tour around it. Besides learning more about the music business and networking with industry people, the most fun part for me is seeing my taxi buddy's; reconnecting with them and also making new friends. To me, the Rally gets better and better every year. Thank you Michael and the entire Taxi staff for that! xoxoJVB

Wow! We've all been really busy with post Rally duties at the office and I haven't looked at this since Monday. Thank you all for your kind words The coolest by-product of the Rally for my staff and me is that we get energized by the Rally too. So do the screeners. Meeting and visiting with all of you reminds us of who and what we work for all year long.Seeing the lights go on for such a huge number of people is really something to behold. I'm the first to admit that I never dreamed that my original idea for TAXI would grow to include such an awesome community of people. "Customers" as friends.... what a concept! More companies should try it As soon as we get done unpacking, sending out a hundred thank you notes, thanking sponsors, etc. we'll get a photo page up for you to see. We're thinking of putting up a gallery of hundreds of photos and letting you guys go in to tag them. We've got LOTS of photos! Thanks again to all of you who joined us. We had a blast too!Michael

Michael – I know you’re busy, but with the organizational mastery and inspirational ability you’ve displayed over the years, I think it’s time for you to start thinking BIG. I notice that the Mideast is still in turmoil, the energy crisis remains unsolved, our healthcare systems is still a mess, many wars continue unabated, and poverty and hunger are rampant everywhere. After you unpack, could you see what you can do about all this?(But finish in time for next year’s Rally, okay?)Thanks again!Richard

Michael, My plane landed night before last and I feel like I should land just about any time now. My third ralley left me again--razzled, dazzled, and frazzled,(song there?). The spiritual energy that I saw and experianced rolled over me like a tidal wave of love. When I told you that Taxi and you have changed my life---- I really meant it! Thanks to All for their tremendous contributions!God Bless You Brother and Keep On Truckin!Patrick "Catnippat" Muth

Thanks Michael and thanks to your wonderful staff and all the guest panelists, mentors and fellow Taxi members. This was my 5th Rally and they have all been great. Each experience different and unique but all excellent. Kurt

Well Boss!...What can I say, but....WOW too!....and THANK YOU!The SPIRIT of the Rally is simply unique and breathtaking, and it’s all because of YOU, your VISION, your PASSION and your great leadership and communications skills, that is all so infectious, that we all get carried away with ’The Rally Fever’ in the best possible way.I travelled all the way from Denmark, (2 x 15 hours flight, not to mention the cost), I brought my ‘NOT so excited to attend, and NOT easy to impress husband’ (to say the least!), spent 5 days in a coma with jetlag and head spinning (still is), and you know what?.....It was worth every minute and dime! My husband even got infected by the Rally fever too, and all we need to know now is: What are the dates for next year? This, my first Rally, was EVERYTHING I had hoped for, from reading your mails AND from reading the feedback and advice on this Forum.....it was even MUCH MORE!I spent most of my time this year in the Grand Ballroom, to try and figure out how ‘you all’ think and listen, when you screen and select songs, and ‘how things work’....and I definately got what I came for! I joined TAXI a year ago to try and pitch/place my (already recorded and ‘dated’ songs) to some ‘opportunities’ that didn’t fit at all (except one, - even if I did get nice feedback on returns). NOW, since I signed a Music Library/composer deal AND attended this Rally, I know that I have to start writing more current songs FOR the opportunities, instead for trying to ‘squeeze’ my songs in, where they don’t fit. Like you said: who needs Karen Carpenter and Ann Murray anymore? (or something like that), when they played my song on a panel.NEXT YEAR I will spend more time on networking, which I felt I missed this year, since I REALLY needed all the panels and sessions I could get.So Boss, my warmest THANKS to YOU and your whole team, for making all this happen for us all. The friendly, warm, helpful, catchy SPIRIT of the Rally and all the people attending is truly overwhelming and unique. It’s like a CLAN or a CULT, only in the very best and positive way!....I want MORE!!!!Once again I would also like to THANK YOU for asking the FANTASTIC FRIENDLY PEOPLE in the audience, if it was OK to give me a minute, to get my husbands ticket, to win THE awesome MIKE! THANK YOU from my heart TO ALL who voted for me! WOW! I shall never forget how happy you made me right there.....I NEVER win ANYTHING....so I take this as ‘a sign’, to go on with my dreams and goals.BLESS YOU ALL for being how and who you are! See you next year!Hugs’n smiles from da crazy, dreaming, Danish Country “Karen”

PS: On the business side: You are SO right that more companies should copy your “Clients as Friends” or ‘Friends as Clients’ concept....what a wonderful world it would be! Only, not many leaders pocess the skills it takes to do that, like you have done.PSS: Customers are people who go to a store to buy “an icecream” and never return. CLIENTS are long lasting relationships!...Friends, if you are REAL good, like you are!
