Re: TAXIBOSS Thanks You
THANKS MICHAEL for having the vision to create TAXI....I'm three years into the 5-Year plan and wouldn't have known even where or how to begin without TAXI.What I noticed about this years rally for me was, the first year I never left the ballroom.... That year changed my focus. The second year I spent my time half in the ballroom half in the breakout sessions. That year defined my goals...This year I spent more time in the break out sessions ( which were fantastic), especially the ones given by our fellow forum members. This year was about networking and crafting my skill sets.Once again.... Thanks!Bob

Re: TAXIBOSS Thanks You
I want to say thank you to Michael and everyone else who put in their time and effort to make this year's rally happen! And it seems like I should say that "you shouldn't be thanking US, Michael"- but I think that misses the point of one of the greatest parts of the rally. I think you and all of those who "gave" at the rally- gave sweat, knowledge, experience, opinions, support, and time- I think you did get a huge amount back as well. That's not to say that gratitude is not in order- quite the contrary! But the single thing that sets this event apart from so many others (in my opinion) is that the majority of people involved seem to get the idea that sharing with each other and supporting each other creates its own rewards. When you teach you learn, and when we help and support each other we help and support ourselves. This seems especially true on these forums as well. So thanks to ALL of you!

Re: TAXIBOSS Thanks You
THANKS MICHAEL !!! and your staff. This was our 6th Rally and it was absolutely GREAT. We do whatever it takes to get there each year, and you have not disappointed us yet.Our goals have been different each year and we always get something out of it. In earlier years we needed validation and constructive criticism. As the years have passed we've needed less of that and more networking and finding avenues to get our music heard and placed. Through forwards and Rally connections we are actively reaching our goals in the library arena. The system you guys work so hard to maintain, is working for us. Between forum participation and the Rally we really feel connected. Oh..and the "VIBE" is hard to explain. Everyone could really benefit from experiencing it. It's always a good thing when the last thing you say to people is "can't wait to see ya next year"THANKS FOR ALL YOU GUYS DO !!!!!Tricia and the rest of the BrooksFamily

Re: TAXIBOSS Thanks You
I really want to say thank you! I'm not sure I can express just how much being a part of Taxi has impacted me as a person without sounding cliche or excessively cheesy. If for nothing else, the encouragement, the warmth and fantastic community that you have created, and I got all of that at the rally. The classes, the people, the very very little sleep... I had aha moment after aha moment while I was there, I felt as if I was being bombarded with buckshot of information and veils lifted from my eyes at every turn. Confirmation I've been doing the right thing, and so much more I need to do. But the best, meeting everyone I met. The empowerment that's there within the community is overwhelming and outstanding. Never have I been surrounded by so many similar, like minded, GENEROUS, artists and mentors. I had no idea. Michael, it says volumes about you as a person to draw the quality of people to such a place as the Taxi rally year after year. Thank you again for a fantastic opportunity to network and learn!Sincerely,Rebekah(I GOT TO MEET JASON BLUME!!!!)

Re: TAXIBOSS Thanks You
Michael,There is no way I could possibly ever put into words just how much this Rally, my 2nd one, meant to me. Saying "Thank You" just doesn't seem to be enough. I'm still humbled and honored to have been given the Inspiration Award. It's going to get a prominent placement in my studio for sure! My wife was just as excited about it as I was. For anyone who's reading this and wasn't able to make it to the Rally yet, let me encourage, if you're serious about your musical career, whether it be an artist or film & tv composer, stop reading this right now and start putting a plan together as to how you can make it to next year's Rally. You've got nearly a year left to save up the money for the airfare and hotel. Remember, the event itself is FREE. I PROMISE you, if you're serious about your career and you're willing to invest the time & money it takes to be successful, then there is no better investment you can make as far as I'm concerned than to attend the Road Rally.I don't get paid to say that nor do I need to get paid to say it. TAXI works and the Road Rally is a HUGE part of the picture. I'll say it again, if you're serious about your career, and I mean TRULY serious, then do what you have to do to make it next year. The amount of information you can learn, the connections you can make, and the opportunities you will have to GIVE BACK are truly priceless. - Big Blue
