And thanks to all the hard-working TAXI peeps who helped pull this off. Simply amazing! It's been a loooong time since I've felt as inspired and motivated as I have in the past few days. Already looking forward to next year!Steve

I'll second that -- Michael, Chris, and everyone at Taxi -- thank you!! I can't express how energized and focused I've felt since both joining Taxi earlier this year and going to the Road Rally last week. Not to sound cheesy, but Taxi has already given me something priceless that in a way, is more valuable than any deals I hope to see as a result of my forwards -- a genuine sense of musical purpose; something I lost for a few recent years and wondered whether or not I'd get back. Any members out there that would have been able to go to the Rally but decided not to, you really should reconsider next year. I've been to lots of music conferences, and the Road Rally is one of the most professionally run, information packed, yet accessible and non-intimidating ones I've ever attended (Michael did not pay me to say that). I can't wait to see what next year has in store, and would be more than happy to help out in any way I can. The key-note, panels, guests, driver's ed classes, etc. were all insightful, helpful, and inspiring. Thanks again!Don Kline // 8 Box Music

Ditto, ditto. Thank you, TAXI staff... you are awesome. Every year I am more amazed and delighted at the way you put it all together. Somehow this year I was more deeply moved and inspired than ever, if that is possible! I hope you guys are catching up on sleep, and getting massages...

Glad you both attended the rally & had a blast. It was my first one too, though I've been in TAXI for almost 3 yrs. I wish I would have started attending these my first year, but better late than never. Welcome! cb

Here, here!I have to say, this rally was 10 times better than the one I attended 7 years ago (ok, but it was at least twice as good, really!).I don't know how you guys pack so much into 3 days, but I'm glad you do!Michael, you and your staff are awesome. It's truly mind-boggling to think that we TAXI members get to experience one of the premiere music industry conventions for FREE!!!I invited my sister down for the rally this year and she, also, was blown away by the quality & quantity of great people, workshops, panels, and just plain good mojo! She's a talented singer/songwriter who had kind of stopped doing music the last few years and I wanted to find a way to get her excited about her music again - judging from her response, I think I chose precisely the right method!A big THANK YOU to all the TAXI staff, mentors, presentors, sponsors, panelists, and clinicians!!!

Wow, what a great phrase... "a sense of musical purpose". A few years back someone introduced me as a "former musician". They didn't mean anything by it but your phrase really puts that whole scenerio into context. I didn't want to be a "former musician" but I really was because I had lost my sense of musical purpose.Since I started my Taxi membership, my sense of musical purpose is now pretty well defined and is coming into sharper focus practically on a daily basis. To say that Taxi changes some lives is right on target.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Chris. I've been lurking here since the end of January, when I began this journey called Taxi membership. Figured it was time to make a shout out.I too, have gotten a sense of musical purpose out of Taxi as well. If I don't have a set deadline, I just end up eating too much pizza and watching reruns of the simpsons and 30 rock. It's good to have something to work for.

Hey, you guys. Welcome to the forum. Michael wasn't kidding when he kept mentioning the value of these boards. This place is one of the BEST ways to keep a sense of the rally (and that amazing supportive energy) alive, long after returning to our respective 9-5's.Also my first rally (though not my first musical conference). Whoa. So well run, and totally focused on us and our chances to increase our chances. I found out things about myself and my previously unrealized strengths that have totally affected my focus (MY way of saying "musical purpose") and possibly saved me from months of misguided attempts at the high bar we all are aiming for. VERY cool. This will be a more meaningful Thanksgiving Day for me than I've had in years. Ted

Hey guys,Thanks for the warm welcome! I've been lurking since becoming a member in April, and felt that now that I have a handle on how things flow on the forum (and have been racking up experience with both forwards and returns), I should start posting here and there. I look forward to getting to know each of you and am definitely glad that I took Michael's advice at the Rally to get involved here on the forum.Best,Don Kline // 8 Box Music
