The first one is much more on target. But the second one is very cool!! Not for sports, but that is a keeper for a suspense/intrigue call for sure! Nice guitar playing!B

I was going to suggest to replace the MIDI drums & the rhythm guitar with something more realistic, but then you mentioned something about "not having access to the original tracks". Too bad, as that guitar solo in "Extreme" deserves better company...I couldn't find this listing on http://www.taxi.com/industry.phpWhen was it posted?George

X Guitar is cool and probably suitable for sports. Too bad you don't have access to the original tracks--all kinds of things you could do with the drums. In fact, I'd be tempted to run the stereo mix through a spacial processor to widen the mix. On the length, if a super likes a track, he'll figure out a way to use it so I'd still submit.Wired is more suspense than sports. Apparently, each sport has a signature sound (horns for NFL, guitars for NASCAR, etc.), and I don't hear that here (unless the sport is hunting for wild bears in a dark forest).Vince

I agree with ideascapes. The drums and rhythm guitars dont sound authentic and the whole mix is too narrow. There are a few techniques you can try out to combat this. Experiment with a few different effects and techniques to give the tracks more impact.The guitar sound on Extreme is too thin to me and sound slike there is a filter of some kind on it? It doesnt cut through enough!Good tunes though, they sound close enough to the style being asked for.Colm.

I would be VERY interested in knowing if EXTREME gets forwarded as I have been given to understand they don't want a guitar solo from beginning to end. If they indeed want a solo then writing for this sort of listing will get EXTREMELY easy for me!ThanksKeith

They are distracting as background for the voice-- they need something can drop back during the voice.A few months back I had the lead guitar taken out of a hard driving rock piece to make it better for the person I was working with.I'm sure there are no hard and fast rules but if there is lead guitar, nothing too hot-- more blended in the mix. Casey
