thanks davie, now as you know i'm honest as can be--what the hell is May sound? hell, it aint even april yet...LOL...and brinda, on my list of pretty crappy though "stylistic" voices that have been great successes:STINGBONOthat lead singer from the KILLERS,,,yikes...oh and MARTIN from coldplay--yikes, live he struggles with his OWN tunes...davie, back me up on that one...some would say BOWIE, but not me when he was younger, i'm pretty sure NOBODY remembers his duet with BING CROSBY on his christmas TV special, and bowie was beautiful...all i guess we can expect nowadays is style and to be somewhat in tune, no?wh

You are giving up my age, Warren! I remember Bowie and Crosby , also, that tune went " cisco kid was a friend of mine".Oh! And about singers, what about the guy from AC/DC ?

WARREN! this is your best song so far. It may not have the commercial potential of some of your others, but creatively, production wise etc. this one is the best. This sounds like you as an artist and I'm really glad you didn't hire one of those commercial demo studios to produce it . . . their cookie cutter approach would have ruined it.This is terrific imo.

thank you bill--i'm glad i didn't hire one of "them" either, and i'm getting better on who i pick, realize it really depends on the song. i actually used to be a good manager of people, and part of that is picking the right one for the right job. i've always appreciated your words and time (i learned to "respect" the bassline and perc so much more, and that's because you rightfully always pound that home.) you know how i feel about you, keep up the good work, we'll chat once in awhile, and thank you for your help! someone said on the other "general" and implied that i don't listen. that is partly true, but there is that fine line when we change for others, or we believe in ourselves. i have tried to do that at times, but at times i refuse. and if my work is the other meaning for "refuse"...LOL, so be it. sorry, a carryover from the other forum site i just got off. don't get why i upset people 'round here sometimes. guess like a watch, it's a broken heart i wear on my sleeve...damn, now i like thought--a song line there, love that free flow stuff when it comes out...naw, too smaltzy..!all the best, warren

My good dude! This is a strong piece Warren...I'm on like my 5th listen. Production is very good, nice changeups and instrumentation.Your voice fits this well. I would advocate keeping your chorus intensity as is, or even just a shade more intense. On the verses, I would actually like to hear you sing it a bit softer (yes, you've got too much power!!!), get a wee bit more intimate with that mic on the verses, especially at the ends of a few choice lines. You ain't going anywhere dude...we both know that. You're just heading to the dugout for some Gatorade while some other batters round the bases. See you next inning!!

hey dev--love that analogy my friend, my little one (15) came outta a mild slump just yesterday, 2/3 with a walk, he's now leading off--hates it from #3,...but take what they give you i say. and in his only "out", he smashed it to a drawn in 3rd baseman who was still in his drop down, and almost killed him, but he picked it up and threw wild to first--and was safe, and the runner at 3rd scored the winning run--so on base 4 times...whoops, this is music, sorry...thanks for the words on my vocal--damn i have a crappy set up here, and the producer did a great job making it listenable!!...but i do understand the quiet verse part--damned good point, if and when i get back to this one after the others in line, i will do that--or try...hey davie--yeah, on the "general" forum this morning someone else said brian may and i said i have to look him up, and then recognized that phrasing style from bohemian rapsody, right? i have not looked it up yet, hope so, or i'm wrong,,,,again...LOL. that "nothing really matters" section? hell, you're the englishman!! LOLand thank you geo, the quit was all the producer on that one...i dig it too, and damn there's that floyd thing again, but hell, you're right! i must be channelling them...sometimes stuff seeps in from all kinds of places...well you know...all the best, thanks guys again, warren
