I just got that East West Quantum Leap silver four days ago and after recovering from that ilok software crashing my cpu, I was able to put this together. Very new to the orchestral style so any tips greatly wanted. I turned the "metal" down so the orchestra sounds stayed up front. Not sure if that was good idea or not. Hey johnnyb333,I like the track! Very big sounding. Are you submitting for a specific Taxi listing?I like the balance of metal and orchestra -- if there was any more metal it would be too much IMO.I would definitely *at least* edit out the guitar noise at the end if you'll be submitting to a listing, and better yet, write a quick and punchy ending ("button ending" as I'm sure you've heard of already).Damian

Thanks Damian. I already sent it to the second listing but I am definitely gonna chop the end before I send it to the other listing. I like it better the ending chaotic and untied but for the sake of getting it forwarded you are probably right. hi Johnnyb333... Gr8 track man!.. I felt that the strings could be pulled back just a little in the mix but maybe that's just a personal preference cos I love heavy guitars... Hey Johnny,I like this a lot. In my opinion the metal side is done. Fini. The orchestra side basically where it needs to be, but it feels more like a sketch than the a final orchestration. I wouldn't change any of the lines or the structure, but I would beef it up by bringing in more instruments to support the strings, probably brass is the best choice to fill out behind the metal sounds. You might want to consider adding some brass tracks and copying your string parts to them, just to get a sense of how it feels, I think you'll immediately hear what I'm talking about. But don't leave it like that. I'd have the brass swell in and out to give the string lines a sense of sonic build. Not just a actual copy of the parts. Keep it up. I love this kind of stuff!B

Hey nice track man! I've been thinking of getting Silver myself so this is good to hear. One little quibble for me on this crappy headphones is I hear a persistent high frequency that seems to smear the mix a bit. Or maybe I'm hearing the scooped mids. Sorry that's vague...
