Hi Geoff, pretty piece!I tell you what I like is at 52 seconds, when it gets a bit more major 7thy, and I wonder if that should come in sooner? I think it would sound lovely with some strings in the back, but it might be a viable piece as is. Georgie

geoff,Nice piece. I hear maybe solo cello or violin. If you like for me to take a stab at improvising a counterpoint in either instrument (examples below), let me know and we can discuss an approach.Vincehttp://www.broadjam.com/transmit/index.p....2657&yhgbndsq=2

I'll just cheer for this tune from here Geoff, as I'm too new on the strings to step up. Go brother!

Sounds pretty good here. All in all I like what you got. Just a few ideas to play with. You might try adding a double bass in spots just for accent. The bottom seems a little thirsty in spots but not throughout. There is a high end click I hear at 1:07 but that could be the mp3 conversion or the download. Don't know if it's in the mix. Didn't hear it in the guitar version. At 1:08 there is a percussion noise or something - that doesn't really bother me but makes me think you might add some sparse percussion (very sparse) in spots just for fun. Maybe/maybe not. Could get interesting if applied properly. Maybe a triangle in a few spots and/or a low low indian type tom every now and then just to give it that outside curve. And there's always that cymbal sound drummers get when they run the tip of the stick around in a circle. Gotta Gong? Joking... Maybe...You might also try just a tiny little less verb on the cello to give it more definition but it sounds pretty good now in a dreamy sort of way. Some really really nice licks on the violin. The cello complements it well!!Kitz
