I'm sorry I didn't post this earlier since you just put up a new mix!As I was drifting off to sleep last night, and your song kept playing in my head.I thought of a question about it - In that style of music, was the multi part harmony carried all the way through the song on chorus verse and bridge? I'm listening to some different Hollies songs, since the "sound" and mix of your instruments are most like theirs. One example, "Bus Stop" seems like the harmonies are not on every phrase. Same in some others that I listened to (Kinks, yardbirds - not sure if both are in the same genre) I didn't find any examples of the brit groups that carried the harmonies through the whole song on all parts. I didn't know if that is typical or not of the style, or if it would be something to try out in your song or not. Like I said, its just a question I have.If anyone knows the answer to that question, please let me know. Diggin' the tune!

hey Anne, there were some big ones with harmony throughout, especially with the Beatles (Nowhere Man?). Casey brought this up also. To be honest my voice sounded too "rough" without the high parts to soften it up. (Tom Waits does Brit Pop!!???) Down the road though I might try to see if I can't do a mix without harmonies right away but it may be best with another voice in the lead. Casey's holding the auditions, CALL NOW! 1-800-SINGER

hey guys!ok, this is now lovely all the way around,for some reason i can hear the lead vocal better--maybe i was drunk the other night--wait, no that'll be tonight maybethe simple guitar "solo" i'm hearing now does the job, though i still like my idea of going back to the same style you used billy in the intro....but time to move on, this is very very nice indeed!all the best guys, a keeper!warren

Casey and Bill ... cool tune and great production! Def capture the ol vibe-o. Those harmonies are killer but I see what Anne says about it being a little cluttered. Maybe high-passing them would add more intelibility??? I love that little hi-hat that sounds like it's sitting right in my left ear... very vibey!

I wanna thank all you for the help and feedback on this. Sometimes the hardest thing is trying to make something sound simple. Patrick your advice is always right on the money . . . I was way ahead of you ( Casey only thought this was the last mix!) But I had made another with highpass on the vox and with the solo volume punched up a bit. It's a lot better imo.Thanks again for helping me get Casey's song where it needed to be (BTW he's a slave driver )
