Re: forum loser...( me )....vikki challange
YOU ain't the loser, Paul, I AM!!!At least you got a COMPLETED song!!!All my stuff is hopeless without music. I am running around like a chicken with his / her head cut off trying to find the big worm. Without a head to EAT that worm what the hell does it matter? ...So likewise, without MUSIC to my songs what the hell good would it do ME to GET a record deal... I stand about as much--I didn't say "as much" I said ABOUT AS MUCH--chance as a pair of gasoline-drawers in hell.I still ain't giving up I guess I am a glutton for big punishment. Hell, NOTHING ELSE is for me THIS IS MY ONLY hope to make it in the biz. NOTHING ELSE will or can make me happy BUT THIS DREAM.Cheer up, Paul, your song sounded really good to me, NOT just good. I bet you if you keep submitting it you'll eventually get a forward...Let me give you the advice two have given me--DON'T "lallygag" on one song. Write a song every week, every day, if you can. The law of averages is on your side EVENTUALLY YOU WILL come up with a smash hit.

I'm with Ibanez, and some others; that's one danged fine melody, hoss! The current lyric is hilarious, but a rewrite would have commercial potential. Still need a bridge, though...

chrisWell, without the bridge, it technicall ain't done. With it being a quicky spoof, I did not think it would be met with any positive outcome, so It was not refined. I am going to go back now and rework it. That is if I am not tempted to start a new one:) (and I am)Ya know I have placed portions or starts of a song here and folks will comment as well. Sooo, if you have anything at all, post it up. I have learned so much already this last year.mojoThe winter is long, I have lots of time. Well, I hope anyway. Thanks for the visitPaul

Welcome to page two Paul...and please don't mangle any of your digits chopping wood this winter! Is that you on backup vox?I like your tune...although your song for Gracie from a while back still has 1st place (just for the warmth factor).Collaborations work great as you mentioned...in fact, I haven't had a forward yet on a song that's "100% Dev". I find my natural product isn't lining up with the listings yet, so I need that external influence to pull it off.I personally would love to see you hang out on the forum at least (if you don't sign up for a second Taxi tour right away). . Thanks for sharing what you create...I should be downloading your songs so I can listen in the car (just in case some inspiration hits!).
Earplugs may be required for anyone over the age of cool.

DevinFor some strange reason the " welcome to page two" was entertaining to me.I do all the vocals lately. Did the hair on the back of your neck raise up? Have a sinus thing going on. Only a couple days a month I can actually make the attempt. I am no singer.Gracey is gramps favorite ( out of five) What a spitfire. Three going on twelve!!I just found out I can be on the forum and not be an actual member of taxi. I might rejoin though thinking some of these tunes (with some help) could be submitted.Listening to country today and I have this "feeling" that syle of music is going to be less in demand. The door is opening for some different styles.Glad you took a little time to do some typing instead of trackingPaul

hey paul, actually---PLEASE STAY MAN!!! PLEASE--i'm the one that may be leaving. my expectations may overshadow my perceived talent...LOL...on the country thing, i believe it is the EXACT OPPOSITE--i think that country as we are seeing allot lately will be melding with pop, in more crossover stuff--which is what i'm trying to write, but alas, i'm either ahead of the curve, or on dead man's curve! damn, only one cup of coffe and aint i awake on the left coast this morning...just cruising, saw this, opinionated.....stay, please stay...the best, warren

WarrenI wll stay on the forum for sure. Too much fun here. You know I love your stuff. Geo too. Lots of talent around.Nobody lately is pulling any punches when reviewing. I like that. Take it like a man I say.Just doesn't seem like country has much more room for surprizes? Just a thought.Tough to get in that country machine?Get to work man. More than the bestPaul
