Re: Journey Home... final mix? most likely not ;-
Hey "G"!Nice tune doc! Although it may sound a little dated, it's still likeable IMO. I think y'alls musical ideas gel nicely for this tune. Popping seems to come & go. Sometimes I hear it, and other times I don't. Guess it depends on what you listen to. I like the popping myself (bein' a bass player and all), I can relate to it. I think maybe you keep a version with the popping and one with straight playing. As far as the singing goes, me myself, I can live with it. Sounds OK ta' me for what you guys are doin'. Whether the screeners like or not, well... that's another story. U know how that goes. I do hear great improvements in your tunes since coming on board though. I can hear the growth every time you post up something new. Hopefully, we're all growing from this experience. Keep at it dude!I-468

Gave up guilt when I left the ol' school girl uniform behind. You know, cute little skirts and knee socks, nuns and rulers and all that.

Hi guys.... Bill put the idea in me head so I restrung the bass and came up with this.... still in progress but wanted to get comments on whether this...a. updates the song ..... though I feel my new friend cj of small case will say I just moved it to the 80's (appropriate use of smiley to convey I was just kidding)..... b. just improves the song in generalPersonally I like it... most likely will redo guitars to make it a little more cohesive ....Of course all comments welcomed....Peace, Geohttp://www.taximusic.com/download/187306/Journ ... 2%20.mp3PS cj, nice bio.... checked out some of the stuff on AV.... very cool.

I think this is a 100% improvement! Bass is a lot more dominant and "tighter" than before. I know what Ibanez was saying about "popping" coming and going as a style. I hear it sometimes now also but I think (besides possibly making the song sound dated) the old part wasn't a tight enough part for your song. It kicks ass now!

As I said "Thank you Bill!!!" ..... and Dave.... hopefully we'll both will be cracking that nut soon!!!!Just had to redo the loops on the chorus but the rest fell into place after 5 or 6 go rounds....Also dropped the guitars early at the end as per Kitz suggestion....As I've said before and I'll say a hundred times more.... stuff like this is what makes this place so cool!!!Peace, Geo
