everyone - thanks so much for your comments! they're all very good, very helpful, and i'm working on some changes already. for those wanting the opening chorus lines to rhyme, you're not the only ones who have said this, so i'm listening, and working on some different options. i oh-so appreciate your help on this - that's what i love about these boards. now, as for rocking out the song a little more, i can do that in my head, but i don't really have a way to put some ideas down "in stone" because my hubby only plays acoustic, not lead! awwww...but...i don't know...maybe i can come up with something. thanks again, all!erin

when i heard it i was thinking norah jones but i think you'd want this to be as a country song, it flowed well and was easy to sing, didn't get caught up on words, my opinion would be to slow the tempo down a bit but i really really liked it, and congratulations on the baby!Take care Erin!

Melody and progressions are very traditional bluegrass. Made me want to grab my mandolin and start pickin.Although you melodies in verse and chorus are similar, backing harmonies might give it enough separation. I hear a wide range of harmonies in this.Nice song.M~
