Hi Vikki,Listened to Sea Dreams, and I love the combination you've got going there!A couple of things that would appeal to my senses were...1) slightly soften the sound of the bass piano note that comes in every now and then. At the volume it is now, it jolted me/distracted me just a tiny bit. (Or maybe it's that I found myself expecting to hear the bass notes more often than they appear, so that made each one seem more pronounced. After listening again, I'm thinking that's the case.)2) I really like the recorder in there. In places, it seemed like I was just getting into the enjoyment of it, then suddenly it was gone. Maybe those short segments could be a tiny bit longer.Just my personal preferences. Those things might be very appealing to the next person.Enjoy your day!!

I know, I'm late as usual. Anyway, this is a genre that i'm very comforatable with. It's really difficult to showcase this kind of track in anything under 7 or 8 minutes, simply becasue the nature of it, is to evolve slowly. I remember an early Tangerene Dream concert where the whole, hour-long show was just one improvised piece. Not the kind of thing you whistle on your way to work, but true musical art all the same. This style, call it what you will, Ambient? New Age? New Age Ambient? was relegated for a time to underwater documentaries.Bands like the Orb, and Enigma brought it back to life. This is a good example. The floaty pads serve as a backdrop, and the flute occupies the foreground. It works just right for me, as I like the melody instrument to always be just in a place you didn't quite expect it to be, if you get my drift. You never know quite what to expect, and I like that. One of my early examples brings in a kind of Irish Jig on acoustic guitar towards the end. My hope was always that people would find it a pleasant surprise, assuming they didn't hit the eject button first. V. good, Vikki. I hope it gets placed, so we can begin to hear more of this kind of stuff
It's a fine line between a thick soup and stew.
