yes, it's me, the abrasive one. yeah, i'm back. i was encouraged to stay, and i need the help/feedback from this community, so...anyhoo...on to the song!bill, this was such a fun listen!!!! great arrangement - i agree that regardless of whether it fits the listing, this arrangement will find a home somewhere, no doubt. in case you want my specific opinion about maybe some things about it that mabye aren't totally "contemporary" sounding, here are just a few things i jotted down that stuck out to me. please keep in mind that I'm 30, so slightly young, but old enough to have listened to this song over and over on The Big Chill soundtrack when i was a kid. 1) maybe it's the harmonies on the chorus? i don't know why, but for some reason, they sounded more like the original to me, or at least not current sounding.2) i LOVED the way you sang the line "tracks of my tears" at the end of your choruses. to me, that sounded totally like something i could hear a current band doing.3) the way you sang "you" at the end of the line "wear since my break-up with you" sounds kind of older-style to me, kind of seventies, maybe? (i might have my decade wrong). also, all the "baby baby" stuff sounded a little dated to me, too.JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION. i am no expert. but maybe this'll help a little if you're thinking about re-recording the vocals? regardless, fun fun song, and even as-is, i'd put it on my ipod. erin

Bill,Great job, and Steve's piano really helps give it a contemporary feel. I still thought I heard a touch of distortion (not the good kind) from the guitar at the end of the intro but I'm on laptop speakers today so could be my end.Cameron
