Re: Funk Instrumentals
Wow, all 3 are great tracks that capture the funk vibe to a 'T'. Some great talent around here. Great performances and production. I'm gonna learn a lot hangin' with you guys.I wrote a tune for this listing too. It's called 'Leaning Tower' and it's at the top of my Soundclick page www.soundclick.com/Teleblaster. Still a work in progress, mix is bottom heavy and I've got a few notes to push around here and there yet. It's all live instruments but the drums which are EZ Drums with Groove Monkee midi files.

Re: Funk Instrumentals
ibanez: you got the funk! Great sound overall, funky picking!Yeah teleblaster: nice playing on the Tele! I think if you make the drums punchier you'll be more in the ballpark. I think the bass just needs definition, probably take a bit of bottom off. You'll probably need to decide who gets the lowest frequencies, the bass or the kick. If you use an overall compressor, sometimes too much low end will suck the juice out of everything else because the bass ends up controlling the compressor.marcblack: Nice tune! Man, lots of funky guitar players around here!! For the style I prefer a bit less "roomy" sounding drums (the reverb makes them feel a bit more rock to me) but overall a nice sounding track! Nice and punchy!Good luck to all!Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!
