I may have misread your question to begin with but from what I can remember, you were wondering why your piece didn't get forwarded and I tried to shed some light from my point of view. My intention was to offer a way to possibly hear your music in a different light because I know first hand how easy it is to be too close to one's own music.All of my comments were my opinion only based on my experience and also by comparing your piece to the a la's.If you really weren't asking for feedback then I apologize that I jumped in with it but it seemed like, by posting your piece in the first place, you were asking for folks to listen and offer it.Since this is an open forum, you can, of course, choose to participate in a discussion or not, but if you felt you were not getting what you want, I would have liked to have known that so I could have asked for clarification from you.This is, as you know, a tough business, partly because we don't deal in absolutes. I did see, though, the answers that you received all followed a common theme and they all corroborated what the screener said. Hmmmm.....Good luck and I hope to hear more of your music.Forgive me if I misinterpreted your intentions with this thread.Mazz

I'd be happy to give you links to my two tracks. Well, heck -- you can just go to my TAXI page (link is in my signature below); they are the Chemetude 1 and 4 tracks available there. I went hard down the Chemical Brothers road (I thought, maybe I made a wrong turn with some decisions I made in them) but it's true that these things can be way more subtle than the repetitive surface would make you think.But one thing I'll say: Don't give up; don't give up; don't give up. It feels like a slug to the stomach, I know, because I'm feeling it now too, but if you stop trying you've written the sad ending yourself.
