It Never Rains It Pours
Hello Here's one I've been working on these last few days. This could be classed as me being lazy so I thought I would share it and see what ya'll think!I quite like the first verse but it's not weather orientated like the rest and I'm not convinced on the second verse or the chorus for that matter. Go for it... It Never Rains it Pours© Lindsey Ellen JolivetV1You’re such a handful darlin’That’s what you said to meSometimes you call me sunshineBut right now I'm historyWell if I’m too much to handle Then what does that make youIf every time I lose control You’re gonna lose it tooCAnd when we fight I love you more You throw insults I slam doorsTalk about two thunderstormsIt never rains it pours When we fight it turns to warYou pull my hair and I pull yours Talk about two thunderstorms It never rains it poursV2How long have we been fighting Seems like forever nowAnd just when I think it’s clearingWe screw it up somehowCause one of us hits play backOr throws in something newClouds roll over, turn to blackAnd we both get soaked right through(C)BridgeOh but I love it when we argueWhen you hate me and I hate youIt’s just a feeling like no other When we can’t stand site of one anotherCAnd when we fight I love you more You throw insults I slam doorsTalk about two thunderstormsIt never rains it pours When we fight it turns to warYou pull my hair and I pull yours Talk about two thunderstorms It never rains it poursUpdated 9th June

Hey Linz,Really like this lyric - but then I would wouldn't I because us English folk like talking about the weather don't we?!The lyric that sprang out at me to consider changing would be all the slamming doors simply because it's cliche..... but I really like the title/concept and the rest - where's the music? Here's some weather in V1 You’re such a handful darlin’That’s what you said to me,You used to call me sunshine, Now I'm history, Good luck with it - looking forward to hearing some music,Best wishes,Rachelp.s. - obviously it's the approach you're taking on the song but I was wondering why this person loves the hate and fighting etc...

Hey,Thank you guys, I wasn't expecting that reaction at all!Great ideas RLC "sunshine" is pretty cool I did a quick Youtube search on the hook and didn't find much in the way of "When it rains it pours" but wanted to vary it slightly. I also thought it might be covering old grounds but somehow the first verse led to the second and before I knew it it was too late lol. I liked the love/hate idea and I have a thing about thunderstorms!Cheers for the kind words and help all,Linz

Well now there's a question!I guess she's so loved up that she puts up with the fighting, the reference to "two thunderstorms" is because she's as bad as he is, she gives what she gets!I don't actually explain do I, maybe that's something else I need to look at. I've made a few little changes with the help I received thanks,Linzi(And as it happens we have yet another storm overhead here, non stop at the moment! Bloomin' weather - puts ideas into my head)!

OK folks This is going to be like running across hot coals. If I think about it too much I'll get burnt, so here we go. I just wanted to let you know that I really do have a voice...just ignore the quality and whatnot, it was spur of the moment! So here goes, my BATHROOM version (voice only) of "It Never Rains It Pours" - sounds much better/brighter with the band. Thank you,Linzi http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default ... dID=849970

That was really great, Linz. Nice to hear a cool tune, with an interesting kinda latin swing melody. I dig. 2 thumbs up.

Way to go Linzi! It's great to hear you...(finally )...and what a nice job singing a capella. Is this how you're going to do it for the 50/90 challenge? Works for me!

Re: It Never Rains It Pours
Thank you, all of you it means so much. I've struggled with my voice - with accepting it. I can't even listen to that recording without flinching - like when you hear your own voice on the answer phone Having said that I am so happy being able to sing jazz, soul, blues, cabaret - whatever I'm doing!Hey Devin do you think I can get away with it? I thought I'd try and get some of the songs done with band but it would be much easier to just go to the bathroom lol.Anyone know where I can get hold of a matchbox jazz band?Guys you're all SO awesome
