This is SUPER COOL, Bob! I just watched the video (a few times over), and what a blast to hear your music in there. It's such a beautiful fit for their commercial, and I can't wait to see it on TV. This is HUGE, Bob!!!! What a super cool commercial to land your music in!!!!

Congratulations!!!!!

Bob this is killer! It is very beautiful and very effective. Congratulation!!

It just goes to show how important it is to pick the right components and put them together properly. For example I have a feeling it would have been far less effective had they used footage of you frolicking on a bed set to music by Angela Lindvall. :P

Of course I could be wrong...

All kidding aside this is a fantastic placement and what a killer for the showreel...

Hi,

Thanks for all the kind words and show of support. Sorry it took so long to answer, we got hammered with the storm, lost power for three days....

Thanks Suz, Lydia & Allen.

Ragani & Brinda, thanks for the posts I saw on youtube....
Mazz- oh yeah, being on a Taxi panel would be a blast....
Matto, I don't know maybe Angela can write good music.... nah, you are right, they got it right (LOL).

Squids, you asked about when it will air, I still don't have a clue, but my wife said she read in a blog, that they are introducing it in Europe first, then the US in July...

thanks again to everyone... this is just so amazing ( I feel a Ted moment coming on ).

Talk to you soon!
Bob

Your story paints a nice picture of how the business really works from beginning to end. The excitement level must have been high all the way through the process (who needs drugs). BTW if there's a link to the actual commercial would you mind posting it on the front end of this thread?

I'm wondering is there a moral to the story about listing in multiple libraries? Do you think that was a mistake? I was wondering what the consensus was on this issue.

Hi Bob,

I've watched it at least a dozen times. I also used it in a live online chat I experimented with last night. ( http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/4854297 ). It's a great example of how one instrument can be perfect if the melody is written so well that it makes you FEEL something. If my math is correct, your half of the license fee will pay for about 37 years of TAXI membership renewals ;-) Of course, we'll both be drooling on ourselves in nursing homes by then, but our children can carry our respective "torches."

You know what makes me so happy about your DKNY placement? It proves that nice guys CAN and DO finish first :D

And yes Bob, I'll make the panel invite right here, right now. Would you please be kind enough to bring that lovely model from the TV spot with you? I'd love to meet the "mom" that has little else to do but lounge around the house (wearing all white, of course) snuggling with her perfect little kid, laughing in a carefree way.... oops, reality check; real mom -- the kid is screaming, the mom is wearing baggy sweats, she hasn't had time to shower in three days, the rubber gloves from cleaning the toilet are still on, she can't remember when she brushed her teeth last, and all she really wants is for her husband to let her go to sleep early tonight.

Funny how a great piece of music can help you forget all that!
Congratulations on being excellent,
MIchael
