I mentioned the PDF Reader in an earlier post. I found another use this week, downloading the PDF version of the TAXI Listings to my iPad.

Not a major deal but somewhat useful.

I've started using twitter as a notepad to capture any iPad related things that I come across and want to check out later. I've got my twitter account linked to my website so these iPad related posts get categorized there and I've got a good list of things I want to look at all in one little spot without having to deal with bookmarks or emailing myself links.

Some of these I haven't played with yet, but if I come across something that looks interesting I send it to my iPad page to check out later.

If interested:

or the page on my site that compiles them:

As I run into things that I actually use and love, I'll come back here to share those also.

This is shockingly good for a version one. I've been waiting for a notation app to come out. Makes for a real nice little sketch pad.

Matt,

I don't know you're still looking, but I got an iPad for Xmas, and the first app I bought was iSequence. It is unbelievable for building techno/electronics pieces -very powerful and flexible. cK gave me a demo in the lobby at the rally of a song she'd done with isequence. Very cool. Of course, she could make an ice cream pail percussion section sound amazing.

Cheers, Eliot.

I just won an iPad at a recent raffle this weekend...amazingly awesome. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I'm going to try out the AC-7 core app as a controller for Pro Tools. I'd also love to use my iPad as my new live music book. I perform a lot playing 3 hour solo original/cover gigs and I can see how having a ton of charts on my iPad would be ideal. Requests would be a no problem sort of thing. Any suggestions on apps or books for the iPad that include chords/lyric charts I could use for gigs? I.E. vocal jazz standards and pop rock covers? thanks,

Seth

P.S. I used my new iPad to access the forum just now :)

Check out the iRealBook, I have it on my iPhone, it's chords only but you can transpose the charts, which is cool!

The vocal RealBook may be on the ipad now. I believe Hal Leonard publishes legal Real Books now so they may have them available on the ipad.

Congrats on winning an iPad, that's very cool!
