Just because one has a keyboard doesn't make them a keyboardist!! ;)

My wish list is in this order of priority:

1. Tracks played by real player (any instrument but in this case, guitar)
2. Loops of parts played by a real player
3. Me hacking my way through a part using a sample library (and eventually burying it in the mix)
None of the chords are in root position and none of the parts are quantized. And none of the piano part notes were set to the same velocity after they were played. It is compressed of course, but not altered after that. And all the parts were programmed by a keyboardist.

I have a keyboard and for sure I am a keyboardist.

Ok Here is another one. Which instruments are real and which are fake? Especially guitars. I am assuming this is good for the thread. I'll stop if you want me to.

Wasn't referring to your piece, Dwayne.

Nice tracks, Dwayne!

Good points too; I think I am definitely leaning away from a tool Electri6ity now. When I think about it, my biggest issue is that I'm not too great at thinking up an interesting guitar part in the first place. Trying to learn a new tool and program out the parts might actually confuse me more than it would help, haha. I try to co-write with guitarists on occasion; maybe the best use of my time is just trying to do it more often :)

Electri6ity definitely takes some learning and skill. So maybe something else is better for sure.

Hope you find what you need.

Good post; in my opinion, being a guitar player makes it harder to come up with creative guitar parts, and the stuff that falls easily under the fingers has been done to death. Maybe we should all keep in mind that the most effective music is a blend of the familiar and the new. Perhaps Robin Frederick is ON to something. ;)
