Thats a network cue for over two minutes. The pay on that should be pretty good. Right?

My guess on the pay, based on a two minute instrumental that I had on daytime network TV, would be between $500-$800. Maybe more, maybe less. But I think that that is a good ball park estimate. It depends on what channel its on, how many affiliates or whatever that the show is aired on, etc.Dwayne Russell wrote: Thats a network cue for over two minutes. I was told it should be around $4000slideboardouts wrote:Congrats! It really never gets old hearing your music on TV, especially when its one of those times where you're just flipping through the channels and BAM! You hear one of your cues!

4 grand seems a bit optimistic to me. Especially when a vocal song of that length (which pays substantially more than an instrumental) on prime time, network television (which pays more than network daytime television), pays around 2 grand. I had an instrumental placement of exactly 2 minutes on daytime network TV and it ended up being around $800. But you never know with royalties.Dwayne Russell wrote:I was told it should be around $4000slideboardouts wrote:Congrats! I've heard that daytime pays less than primetime, but a featured song for 2 minutes during the day will pay a lot more than 15 seconds of background music you can barely hear on O***h. Way to go!!!
