Sorry Rob!
You needn't be; Rob's the decider, heh. He personally selects and guarantees his product, (as do I, for my own products/projects) so you can be sure his product will meet your needs. This is why there are occasionally some issues with availability, as each shipment must be vetted. HTH

YEah, I know all that.

I bought a Gauge ECM-87 and love it! Although, that's coming from a guy who's been using nothing but an SM-57 for everything as I can't possibly afford 1000+ for any piece of gear! (With the exception of G&L Basses and old SVT's)
PC, XP Pro, Version 2002, Service Pack 2
Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHz
3.00 GHz 1.87 GB of RAM
M-Audio Fast Track Ultra
Edirol MA-10D Monitors

I suppose they are good if your on a budget. But I bet when Rod reaches for a mic his first choice is not his own.

Sorry Rob!

Keeping your budget in mind, here is a pretty good trade off Quality/flexibility/cost ... cross functional and a little work horse in a budget studio http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ ... sEX1&SID=0
