Congratulations to Wayne! Now the ad will go into a round of market testing to see if it ultimately airs.
So that's all the good news. The bad news is that a TAXI member who couldn't get his renewal to go through over the weekend the listing was running got frustrated and posted the agency's copyrighted lyrics on (you guessed it!) YouTube with his music (albeit on a private page you could only get to from our forum). We caught it and the member took it down very quickly, but we had to disclose it to the folks in NY, so we are not allowed to run several MORE listings that would have come from what could be a series of spots for the same product. We are still in good standing with the agency, but Wayne is the only member allowed to pitch for the upcoming spots. They actually INSISTED that Wayne submit for the next spot(s).
I'm happy for Wayne. He ended up doing 6 or 7 revisions on VERY tight schedules, and he was a total pro throughout the entire process. Wayne and TAXI are under a non-disclosure, so we really can't say much more until the spot (hopefully) makes it through testing and ultimately airs. Sadly, I think our days of having members pitch to SCRIPTED pitches are now over thanks to the less than wonderful actions of just one person.

But the important thing is that Wayne did a great job and the agency is impressed by what our members submitted! That makes 4 TAXI members who have landed TV commercials in 4 months.
