Re: Forum Newbies... a few thoughts + FAQ
Hi Suzie,You know, I'm very much in the same boat. My husband and I write together (although some tunes are more "his" and some more "hers"). He's not one to hang out on forums - it's just not his style. I'm more social than he is. So here I am. And I'm the only member of 7 Shades of Green you are likely to meet here.Nice to meet YOU!Melissa Green

Hi Melissa! Nice to meet you. Your situation sounds very much like mine. I'm the forum poster of this duo. Have you submitted anything yet? We joined at the end of July and just received our first critiques back this week. Obviously didn't get a forward, yet, but it's good to get honest feedback. Suzie

Hi! I'm Cher Klosner Lane - not a newbie to TAXI, but a newbie to the forum. Had to take some time off from being a TAXI member 'cuz I was out on the road and recording most of the time. Will be rejoining TAXI soon and am glad to have found this forum!!! It didn't exist when I originally joined (I go WAAAY back:) Anyway, nice to be here and nice to "Meet" you all! Looking forward to hanging out a bit more often over here!Cher

Re: Forum Newbies... a few thoughts + FAQ
Hello, my name is Dimitry, and I am new to the forum and TAXI(just joined last week). I am new to music too, in a way, I just wrote a couple of songs and recorded them with a producer in Sacramento, CA. I found out about TAXI a while ago, but didn't join because I couldn't figure out how could my music fit in with what is in demand. I was born and raised in Europe, in Latvia, to be presice, and the music I make has a little Euro feel to it, I don't know if there are a lot of opportunities that would fit me. But, nevertheless, I'm looking forward to making it in music, I strongly believe that I have something to say and believe that my music deserves to be enjoyed by people. If you are interested, my page is on www.myspace.com/dwightcasey I'm going to the RALLY event on November, never been there, excited to meet a lot of people who are into music as well. Thanks for reading, best of luck! Dimitry(aka as Dwight Casey)

Hi Dimitry,Welcome to the forum! I would recommend posting your introduction as a new thread under "general hangout" as well since a lot more people will see it then. Now I will listen to your music. ~ Lydia

Hi all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Mike (mymusicotw08). I have submitted 3 songs to 3 different listings lately and I see they are all in the pending area under submission history. I'm excited about the accomplishment, being new. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Mike

Good for you for putting it out there. While you're waiting... keep writing, and keep submitting to appropriate listings. You can use the forum as a resource - if you aren't sure if a song fits a listing, or if you would like more opinions on why you were returned, you can post in Peer to Peer with the text of the listing, the lyrics, and a link to the song & ask for advice.nice to meet youcheersHummin'bird

Glad 2 Connect With U All!
Hi peeps.New to the forum here, I just wanted to make contact with U all.I'll be joining Taxi early next week and look forward to connecting with those with like-minds.I'm from Detroit Rock City and I'm currently living in Hollywood, Ca.Been here for about a year and a half and have made so many great relationships....in the industry and not.I felt I owed it to myself to sacrifice my time away from my family (no wife/kids) and friends to give all things entertainment a solid attempt.Fast forward to the present day...I have my debut album coming out on June 1, 2009!I'll save all that for the Blatant Promo section. This site/forum is so beneficial and highly informative.Still looking around for the Hip-Hop/Rap success stories... Guess that means there's just more for me!!, So many blessing to U all, continued success, and best regardz!!!Peace,June.www.Myspace.com/JunesFlow
