that and part of it is from elective volunteering and stuff "real word experience credits" and stuff, where id help set up events and that kind of thing, they are worth extra credit which go into your cumulative gpa, but if you allready have a 4.0 then they are kinda reserve points, swhy its truncated to a 4.0, but i could technically get a 3.7 and still have a 4.0

Well, everything has changed, but not in the good way.I got the email yesterday (3 weeks early) telling me how I should congratulate the 10 finalists of the Kerrville Folk Festival, of which I am NOT one.yeah, fine. congratulations. So, I need to refocus my three things for May.The first of which needs to be a new job.Give me overnight to come up with some legit new inspirations, and I'll post 'em up tomorrow...Ted

ooookay, that's like when my hubby (works for the feds) would apply for a job and they'd send him a rejection letter with the NAME OF THE PERSON WHO GOT IT in it (and where they lived).......sheesh. Tacky. I'm sure you coulda come up with congratulations (after a suitable mourning period) all on your own.Po Ted. I foresee great things ahead that will make this seem very pale in comparison, swee'pea. And tamarrah is anotha daya.

Quote:I got the email yesterday (3 weeks early) telling me how I should congratulate the 10 finalists of the Kerrville Folk Festival, of which I am NOT one. That stinks, Ted. You have so many recent successes, but I know sometimes all it takes is one negative thing to mess with your head. Don't let it.Stay positive. Work hard.Celebrate small triumphs (no...not little motorcycles ).Keep expecting positive results and they will come.I'm talking to myself as much as I am to you.Someone once said that the definition of a successful person is someone who got up one more time than they got knocked down.Let's keep helping each other get back up again.Rayzer

Well, as my Dad is fond of saying...Today is the "tomorrow" we worried about yesterday, and all is well.I'm feeling a little stronger and am doing all I can to find up-sides to this. The big downside to my mood right now is that I cracked a tooth (...ANOTHER tooth) last night on a chicken leg bone. I am in SO much pain, I can't even begin to tell you.Through my HIV clinic, I'm told I can get free dental work. So I got my list out this morning and started calling. There is not one single dentist in Taos county that works with my clinic. There's only one in Santa Fe, but they told me they're not taking any new patients until September. Doesn't matter anyway, as my car would blow up on the side of the road LONG before I got out of Taos county. There's only one in Albuquerque that does this sort of work, but when I called them, I was told the the dentist who USED to do that sort of thing has retired and their dental clinic is no longer associated with the Southwest Care Center (my HIV clinic).I have no idea what I'm going to do, but I can't go through another night of pain like I did last night. So, sorry to say, I haven't really had much time to focus on my three re-focused deliberations for May.I will, sooner or later. Thanks, y'all, for the supportive words. Now I should probably go put some more Orajel in place (and even it doesn't really help.)Ted
