Well Hi
Hello to all and to all fellow musicians. My name is Les. Les Tonal to be more accurate and precise.I found myself quite surprised at the length of time between applying for a membership to the Taxi Forums and actually gaining access and the ability to reply and converse.I signed up out of interest on March 13th and I did not receive confirmation of any kind until April 1st. Part of me wanted to believe an April Fools joke was in motion. I checked one of my email accounts today and discovered access had been granted on the first of April. My question is, why such a lengthy period of waiting for approval? One would think that would deter membership and especially participation. I was beginning to think I required membership to the Taxi music services to gain proper access.Anyway, with that out of the rag bag, how is everybody and what can we discuss?
Nothing more, nothing less, other than Les.

Welcome! The social stuff and discussion happens here in General Hangout, Peer-To-peer is where the rubber meets the road; it's where you post music to get feedback-be sure and pay it forward, it's supposed to be a two-way street. . Forwards is where you go to listen to what's getting through the giant sieve. The Rules and FAQ are the best places to start, in my opinion.

I usually start by removing the cork from the bottle of Bourbon then I fill a glass with 2 cubes of ice. 3 waters it down too much. Then I take a swig and pour 3-5 fingers in the glass, depending on mood and need.Oh wait,Sorry Les, had something else on my mind!Welcome aboard. There is much to learn so jump right in. Matt

MattHi Matt Hoggard. You appear to be a funny guy.So what is there to learn? I've been reading these forums for months now, and most of the content within is pretty cut and dry, and pardon my saying, but obvious to the wheel of the industry that most are still lost riding on.

Welcome aboard. I believe the time lag you speak of was due to a change of moderators, the new crew was getting used to the lay of the land, I think. As to where to start... you might want to read the first part of this thread, it answers the usual FAQs, etchttp://taxi.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=2141Quote:So what is there to learn? Perhaps you can provide a link to your website and let us know a little about your success. Love to hear what you're writing & placing.
