Well, the vet did say I needed to have my rabies & distemper shots updated. Said to be sure to drink 1 or 2 bowls of fresh water a day, eat a gluten free, venison or duck based dog food & take it easy on the treats.
I could stand to lose a couple of pounds. So, don't forget plenty of exercise.
Then, he scratched me behind my ears and sent me on my way .
Well, I can see the future. Aside from a Flexaril prescript, doc said I needed a massage. Felt better having 2 good looking women in the same small room, too . So, I'll take my 1st Flex.. tonight, along w/ having just switched back to the 25 mcg fentanyl patch. Klonopin's in the mix, too. YEEHA!!!!!
Awright!! Got the masseuse lined up. Only prob. is, I have to wait 'til after the 1st. I've lived w/ it this long. I'll be helping someone get their credentials. So, I'll hang on 'til Jan.
Oh! Wait. Dec. 21. Well, I'll see ya'll in the next life, if I don't talk to ya before THE END.
Gee! I'm still here. Hmm.
Got the appt. w/ the ENT for Feb.. Hopefully they'll improve my balance. I've fallen several times these last coupla wks.. Gets old. But, we're going to SC for a few days. Seein' Mom always makes me feel better. Wife has a cold. W/ her mood, I need my Mommy . Well, I won't talk to y'all be4. So, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, etc. Talk to ya soon.
Hmm. Interesting visit to SC. We got into a hurry, then the pull handle on my bag wouldn't close. So, I had to go back in the house, unpack that bag, put that stuff in another bag. I had been totally packed; meds & all.
Well, patch day arrived in SC, and guess where my Fentanyl and Testosterone were. 180 miles West in Waynesville! . I had set my toiletry bag on the floor to rearrange everything, & never picked it up. So, I went 133 hrs on a 72 hr patch & got my Testosterone inj. 3 days late. I'm still recovering a bit. DANG IT!! I had everything set to go. Luckily, I guess, I found some oxycodone to ease me by on pain. Ain't the same. But, it got me thru.
We still had a wonderful Christmas, & a great visit w/ family.
Hope ya'll had a fantasmigorical holiday .
Man!! One thing after another. The 'puter's been in the shop for a tune-up. So, I fall behind, again.
But, I had a visit w/ oncologist a couple of wks ago. All checked out fine. Brain's still there.
Shockingly, my wife did something I'd asked her to do. W/ our phone going thru our 'puter, if the pwr goes out so does the phone. I wouldn't worry. But, w/ the things that could go wrong, ie falling (On my meds, that's a worry), med reactions, etc., I've been asking for a track phone. One of my Christmas gifts? A TRACK PHONE!!!! Yay! I feel a tad safer, now.
Man! Rough last 3 days.
After developing an upper resp. infection, Curry, our Yorkie & buddy (son):-) developed a cough. Thur./Fri abt 12 am, I took him in2 the den so my wife could sleep. We were waiting on the vet the next am. They did an X-ray right away & found pneumonia & an enlarged heart. More meds, of course.
Got him home at abt 1:00 & w/in a coupla hrs he was acting strange (The story's on my wife's FB page: https://www.facebook.com/kristine.comer ). By 3:30, he was gone.
It hurts. But, we're trying to focus on the 5 good yrs we were so very blessed w/, and the fact that God worked thru him to keep me going soon aftr I was diagnosed.
GeeZ!! when does it stop hurting. Any1 who could say, "They're just dogs" has nevr met 1 like Curry.
Thank you so much. It helped much when we received many hugs & kind words at church this am. Most of them have met Curry. So, they know what a great li'l guy he is. I've never felt as much a part of a family, outside my own, as I do w/ our congregation.
