Richard

Let me word this as carefully as I can, always cognisant of the potential of being "watched" 8-) , you write TOO well sometimes. I think it's wise for all of us to watch Big Brother or So You Think You Can Dance or Two and a Half Men to be reminded of where our demographic lies. I think you are amassing a huge collection of beautiful music but if you want to 'get the gig' you'd be wise to maybe....dumb it down (am I okay saying that?) a bit.

I am so impressed with how you write, Richard. I couldn't write baroque if my life depended on it let alone in a way that can move so emotionally and add up so proficiently. (You do ALOT more than just Baroque! I'm just saying for the sake of THIS listing)

Don't you DARE be disheartened. You're WAY too good for that! Or if you are, use it  with your next piece! Lash out  . Write your masterwork O Fortuna Camina Burana!! As Pete would say, PAY BACK!!

Always on your side, my friend,

Graham

Thanks for your kind words, Graham. I do realize that there are multiple aspects to what's been happening. And of course, the only things we have any control over are our own choices and actions.

I know Taxi and its screeners do their best to get it right, and it's obvious that they care deeply about what they do. At the same time, the very subjective nature of the process (in the listing descriptions, in our response to the listing descriptions, and in the screener's response to our interpretation of these descriptions) occasionally seems to shut out some things that deserved a chance to get through. Just my opinion.

Anyway, I'm not discouraged (or at least not excessively). My life is full, and music will always be a huge part of it, one way or another.

And who knows, if I see a listing that looks too good to ignore, what the heck, I'll probably go for it. :o

Also, thanks to several of you for the PM's.

Richard
