Thanks Michael, I'm really trying to look at this as a potential WIn-Win situation.michael11 wrote:You have a great voice and an amazing generosity of spirit.
I understand what you're saying. I've been trying (somewhat unsuccessfully) to do the whole thing myself here...like many of you. So now, I'm gonna stop "banging my head on that wall", and concentrate on what I can actually achieve.Mark Kaufman wrote:There are a lot of excellent production people who have everything in their arsenal except a good voice...which is usually the most important element of a recording. So yeah, instrumental wonders abound in the TV/Film market, and they keep wanting great songs with vocals.
It's worth co-ownership to a lot of independent music creators/producers if they can depend on getting great vocal tracks right out of the gate when needed. This is where that networking thing comes in handy.

The other thing that lead me to think about this entire issue was:
At one point, I lost my singing ability completely for a while. I had a thing happen where half my face wouldn't move at all. I even had to blink my eye (on that side) by closing my eyelid with my hand. The doctor told me that I may end up staying that way. I started to grieve the loss of my singing voice. The thought of never singing again made me realize that it was a gift that I was thankful for.
