Making someone feel that their opinion is unwelcome just because I don't agree with them is intolerant.. DerekNita, Derek, & Southpaw, you're all completely right. I'm such a dufus. What would make me think that my opinions would be as welcome as yours? I should have known that if I took exception to your posts, you'd come back and show me why my exceptions don't belong in the thread. So sorry about that. I just find it quite funny that people (ME INCLUDED) have these preconceived notions about who is allowed to be right or wrong. We've seen enough deleted threads on this forum to know where the boundary is. Do you guys think a beautiful thread like this is going to get nixed? Or will it get deleted because some people are getting all hot & bothered? What will be the trigger? You see, I don't mind the Bible study at all. I love it when people don't agree with me, because that's when I learn the most. However, I also know once the words God & Jesus get typed into this forum, alarm bells go off. So can we let the indignation subside?

Hmmm.... I think most of us are okay with spirituality, and it's one of our cherished American ideals (where I'm from) that a man's religion is between him and his God. I doubt that any of us intend to deny another's faith; I think what Steve objects to is dogma, or perhaps the idea that there's only one way to understand truth; and I think most of us know where that leads. But I also don't intend to put words in Steve's mouth.

And that is the truth and that is why people avoid these topics. But me, I don't mind the fights. lol What makes it so cool is that there are TWO threads where people are fighting (okay, just mild scrappin' really).....this thread and the Beyonce thread....double your pleasure, double your fun. At the rest of repeating myself and being suitably chastened for doing so....--------------------------------Q: "What is the Purpose of Life"?A: "To make MUSIC."--------------------------------Doesn't mean we can't have a friendly debate on our respective purposes or porpoises or food portions, but let's promote practical productivity while singing on pitch.

I sure hope we can, the threads where everybody agrees with everybody else are boring as hell, and hell is hella boring, so I hear.
