Way cool, you should do a ton of these! Very solid main hook, love the vocal!
You got the production to sound so lively.. that is so hard to achieve when diy’ing.

Is the banjo live?
That means a lot. Thanks.

The banjo is not live. I used a logic loop, then edited a few notes here and there. Placed just in ear reach in the mix! :P

well, i hope you don't have too high hopes for a placement. i've realized that unless you're one of the top writers, pitching to artists (especially majors) are pretty pointless. it's all about building a personal relationship with the artists, and cowrite. i've seen industry professionals say the same, they don't take pitches from other than they're trusted sources very seriously. it makes me wonder why they bother to place the listings in the first place. this is why i'm not a taxi member anymore. saying that, i also think your chorus could stand out more from the rest of the song.

Thanks for your honesty.
I do realize there are soooooooo many variables to a song actually making it on a record! But I will take the encouragement of my peers and the Taxi screener and store in my heart sorta speak and continue on writing even better songs than this.
I was just at the Road Rally and saw how crazy-subjective the music biz can be. You never know. Write, have fun, submit, repeat. :)
