Help with songwriting!

I want to write songs. I am not good at it. I have tried several times on my own, but I think I need help. I need someone to give me ideas and talk me through the whole process. Hit me up if you’d like to volunteer?

Also, it is very imposrtant to check your lyrics on plagiarism. I ALWAYS do this with https://essaytoolbox.com/plagiarism-checker because once it was very confusing situation when I forgot to check and first verse was identical to one song that I even didn't know!

What kind of volunteer are you looking for? A collaborator, or someone to offer feedback/suggestions on your progress?

The Andy mentioned is good because it's geared towards Film & TV not just songs generally.

Also just go onto Youtube and search songwriting , there are some really good resources out there for free nowadays.

As far as the music...Find songs you love. Then break them down. The chord progressions. The melodies. Etc

then take a very small part of one like the chord progression or a small part of the melody and try to write your own song.
Try to continue the song into new unheard territory.

This is the way the pros do it. Get into theory.
When people get advanced degrees in music composition they usually say MA in music composition and theory.
You have to break down and understand your favorite songs.. and then use that for your songwriting.
