Hi Robert.QHH buddy..you have writing skills and I am not going to repeat what eveyone else already covered, I think by now you know you have to work on your vocals...I heard your track on the QHH episode and it was awsome...sure you can use pitch correction plugins as most engineers do these days but also consider vocal coach....keep on rocking cause you have the right attitude for this.
Hi Andre

Thanks. I am just starting to master the pitch correction software I have. It is Vari-Audio from Cubase and it does a great job. I just have to be 100% accurate on all the vocals when I am listening. I love your music, Andre. It was soothing when it came across on Taxi TV. I love the guitars and if you do any Flamenco let me know. I am in awe of that fast strumming music. I wish I had the wrists for it.

Cheers!
Robert
Hey All

I have flipped this song upside down....lots of trial and error. I think I got it on the right track but I know there is more to be done. Let me know what you think and I will get to work on the next stage...

Best of luck
John

I plan on revisiting the vocals. Any specific part? I owe part of this success to you and Mark but I am not there yet....

Let me know what you think and I will get to work on the next stage..
Get someone else to sing it or put it in a key that is more appropriate for your voice and purchase a dedicated tuning app.

The identification of the melody and then tuning are of paramount importance. You are a long way off and maybe a break from the track could help. Personally that is beneficial to me when I am stuck. Try it without all the delay and reverb and use an instrument to nail the melody. You are sliding a lot.

Fix the vocals first then maybe other issues [like cymbals] later. ...or just use it as an instrumental.

Hey Lester

Time to eat some crow. I did find some pitch issues. You were right. I should leave the project and then come back to it. Another lesson learned!

Question- Are you an artist? A producer? A songwriter? what is your end game with your music?

My end game is to get my music synced for Movies/Television. Lester was right....I just need some time away from the mix. I have been at it for a while now and in a driven way. I will get those vocals right....if it kills me...lol

Here is the hard truth..... You are a very good songwriter a solid producer but you are not a vocalist..... You are competing with top teir singers You have so much to offer I am just afraid you won't get a shot because of that one weakness..... Here is a track I cut I hired a vocalist off of Fivver. https://soundcloud.com/john-droese/search-and-rescue
Now imagine your song with that voice.....it's a whole different level.... Just signed this track last week to a library

I appreciate your belief in yourself getting the vocals you have where they need to be..... now you have two choices...... Take my advice or prove me wrong
I hope you do!!!

Best of luck
John

Thanks to all for your feedback. I will continue to try and improve the track. Much of the feedback was great but some of it, I vehemently disagree with. I won't be posting on the forum again.

Good luck to all with your projects.

Cheers.
