Wow, that's amazing. A Vox 15-watt? It must have been turned down and had a lot of microphones on it.I know that the Beatles (and Queen, U2, Tom Petty etc.) use(d) Vox AC-30 amps. But those break up when you crank 'em! --- I'd love to own one someday. --- Listen to George Harrison's guitar on "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" on the Beatles' live "Hollywood Bowl" recording. That sucker is FRYING! Great sound. --- But normally, the Beatles wouldn't crank their Vox's that loud, except on "Helter Skelter" etc. I know they recorded that in a small room, with everyone playing with a lot of bleed. Maybe they used Marshalls by then, I don't know.I attended a "Los Lobos" recording session here in L.A. some years back, and the guitarists were playing through a LOT of small vintage combo amps. They "swore" that that was the way to go, with great microphones. My 2 pesos,Ern

That guitar was something!! Yes, Monty Norman. He should be remembered as one of the most important composer throughout the history of Bond movies!

"i realize i love the corny bond stuff..this dry stuff is just blah to me."Somebody has actually said what I have been syaing to my friends since the last Bond movie... I don't care about it being more "gritty" or more serious. I think Jason Bourne is better for all out action like that.No... I love the escapism of the "cheesy Bond". I want it to be ridiculous. We all want to be James Bond because of the one-liners, the gadgets and the girls... The latest Bond is always bruised, cut and miserable. I don't want Bond to be truer to life. I can look at the news or a documentary for that. Brosnan was better."hey ..who voted for duran duran???;);)"Now look I didn't vote for Duran Duran I voted for the obvious best Bond theme ever... "Live and Let Die", but credit where it's due. Have you listened to the chord changes and structure of "View to a Kill"? Listen again, especially the instrumental version. It is a killer song, only tainted a little by 80's production technniques and Le Bon's voice.... John Barry genius saves that song.My rant over. Long live Roger Moore!

Quote:John Barry genius saves that song.Yes, but you won't get Duran Duran agreeing with that. They didn't get on with John Barry at all; they thought they knew better than him!
