Thank you, Dean, I definitely benefited from the advice given here!deantaylor wrote: ↑Sat Mar 01, 2025 4:21 amHey Joe,
I just listened to v7. I really like it. Catchy, good energy, good song, good vocal. The chorus works as a chorus for me. Keep going!

I've submitted to listings for this company a few times now and can tell that it's very high bar. I've had some songs that are in major libraries and even with sync agents rejected. It's the nature of high bar opportunities.Lots of CONTEMPORARY INDIE/FOLK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a prominent Media Company that provides curated in-store music to major Global Brands across various sectors.
This Company is on the hunt for Mid-to-Down Tempo Songs that could be heard on a playlist with the following references:
"These Days" by Ocie Elliott
"Stolen Seasons" by Hazlett
"Your Story" by Jessie Reid
Please submit contemporary Indie/Folk Songs that could be heard on a playlist with the references! Expressive choruses, engaging rhythms, captivating melodies, memorable motifs, and well-written lyrics are all needed for this request. Indie/Folk instrumentation in the general stylistic ballpark of the references will work best for this, such as acoustic guitar, mandolin, dobro, etc. Live instrumentation is recommended. If you use any virtual instruments or samples, please make sure they are high-quality and very realistic sounding. Well-performed vocals (Male or Female) with a great indie-inspired sound and vibe are needed!
Please do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, texture, and tone. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.
AI ALERT: This company does not accept or sign music that has been lyrically or melodically composed using generative AI, nor does it accept backing tracks, full instrumental tracks, or lead vocal performances created with AI.
This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split any income from direct licensing deals 50/50 with the company, and you will keep 100% ownership of all rights. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this opportunity. Please submit as many Songs as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Monday, November 4th, 2024. TAXI # S241104LF
If you read between the lines, you get that they really want killer songs and a chorus that really stands out and screams "I'm a chorus" is a must. I love your song. But your chorus sounds a bit verse-like. But like I said, this cool song could still be right for other sync opportunities which you should pursue both with Taxi listings and on your own.Expressive choruses, engaging rhythms, captivating melodies, memorable motifs

Re: Rejected: Chorus sounds like a bridge
Yes, gotcha! I hope my edits help the chorus jump out a bit more. If not, like you said, it might be right for a different listing altogether. Always appreciate the feedback!Casey H wrote: ↑Sat Mar 01, 2025 11:22 amI've submitted to listings for this company a few times now and can tell that it's very high bar.
