What are you feelings on the pre-chorus of "I Had Some Help" by Post Malone?
I''ve not heard it before but listening quickly , it introduces an electric slide guitar that's not in the previous section and it sounds like the picked acoustic part from the verse gets more intesne or maybe they added another instrument

This type of thing is not about production & arrangement, though they put sparkle on it. It's about melody and associated sectional contrast. Pure songwriting.

I think Joe's song is a darn good one. It just may be an "8.5" when this listing needed a "10". That's all. :D

Hey Joe

The song sounds great. You said you have had many forwards. Sometimes it is just a matter of timing. It has all the ingredients to make a good country stew and I think that all you need is to have the right situation to meet this song. If there was a scene where a single Mom taking care of her kids and doing the best she can for them enduring hardship etc. then this would fit like a glove. Move on and write another one.
