Way ta go Ibanez!!!Now that my caffeine addiction is receeding from memory, it's time for a new challenge: As of today, I am giving up the "everybody write this song" thread. It's been fun, but ultimately it's keeping me from my music goals. I know, I know, it's easy to justify...."but I'm on lunch at work...I can do this AND focus on making actual music too...I can stop anytime..."LIES LIES LIES....
Earplugs may be required for anyone over the age of cool.

I started using the "stresstabs", I haven't felt them though. At least not yet. I will start using the patch tomorrow, as soon as i'm off work. So far I tally at about 6 cigarettes in almost 9 days. It isn't too bad I guess. Within this time frame I've cut it from 180 to just 6. On another note I never realized that I smoked 180 cigarettes in a nine day period. I guess it didn't ever seem so bad, since I always used the number 1. "1 pack-a-day". It seems to bad when you actually count them in number!

This wouldn't have happened without you.TedIt'll be a MONTH?? Is it jes me gettin' older or is time freakin' zippin by? Anyway, Ted, so PROUD of you, what a wonderful accomplishment and one that has lifelong ramifications. I'm also proud of you for starting this thread which is helping so many of us, for everyone who's working to support those who are quitting and most importantly for the guys quitting. An amazing feat all around.

It seems to bad when you actually count them in number!Give the tabs about a week to really kick in. It's not like an overnight thing, plus it's very draining on us physically and emotionally to cut back drastically (or quit) so we don't feel it straight away. And you're right, I've never thought to actually count them. I always smoke 3/4 to 1 pack every day. I'll have to do the math on a three-day period. Oh lord, I bet it's a lot. Anyway, you're doing GREAT.....imagine how much better your lungs already are without those 176 cigarettes! In my presentation, a girl brought a jar of tar (yep, Tar in a Jar!) from the hospital that they'd gotten out of a smoker's lungs. Dude, it was the size of one of those industrial mayonnaise jars!! It was the color of actual road tar and man was it sludgy and sticky and jes gross. It was from ONE year's worth of smoking that his lungs could no longer forgive. How sad. Your lungs are so grateful to you right now.
