Re: Best Song Opening Lines
This is a tough one. I can't think of any opening lines that aren't great. I think it has to be something that goes with the music as well. like "I seen the bright lights of Memphis, and the commode door hotel" Dixie Chicken Little FeatArkJack

Re: Best Song Opening Lines
I've got to second the Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters (what an incredible song) and Angels of the Silences. Counting Crows have always been tops for me, but specifically Adam Duritz's lyrics. I swear we share the same human experience(minus the 'rock-star/celebrity angle), he's just so much better saying it through song. How many of you are like me and here a song and think, YES, so simple! Why couldn't I have written that line, I've felt it plenty.I've been listenging to a ton of David Mead lately, so I'll nominate Astronaut from his Wherever You Are releaseso i'm hitting the town tonight, cinder blocks for feetshuffling through all the gazes i know better than to meetDitto on Contiuum by John Mayer. He's really written a fantastic albumfrom "Belief"Is there anyone who, ever remembers changing their mind from the paint on a sign
