I would add, to the contemporary list, "Sleigh Ride" - it's been covered tons of times but the symphonic version is my all-time favorite - I forget the name of the orchestra that made it famous."Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" - was that Peggy Lee? and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" - the Judy Garland version - are also ones I don't mind hearing each year. The only Christmas song written during my lifetime that I can really stand is Paul McCartney & Wings' "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmastime."Kathleen

Isn't that the one from the Peanuts cartoon? And I think I heard a version of Shawn Colvin singing that once, that was breathtaking.Quote:Vince Guaraldi's "Christmas Time Is Here" is another nice one.Kathleen
