Re: Post rally writers block?
Couldn't make to the Rally - Again...well, maybe next year? I'm depending on winning the lottery or receiving a check from airplay one of these days. I guess it's equally probable...Anyway, I almost jumped through the roof when I saw the "SAD SONGS" listing and thought to myself it would be like a walk in the park for me. When I was a kid and banging away on the piano creating poor excuses for songs, my mum used to say; "Well, they're pretty nice songs, but do they always have to be so sad?"Being the sad hearted guy I am, and with that "story of my childhood" in mind I thought I could easily cough up at least 10 really heart ripping songs in a matter of days. Hah! said the "muse" and escaped through the window, never to be seen again until after the deadline I suppose... But I am persistent, and I'm trying hard to bash out a couple of bars of sorrow each day. 9 ideas out of ten are just pure crap, and the rest hasn't so far that kind of edge I was hoping for, but I pray something will come out before Dec 17...Keep on pushing that envelope

A lot of times when I get a ton of new information (as I'm sure that you did at the Rally) or a huge emotional occurrence happens. I have to digest it and let it manifest internally, while I deal with other aspects of life, and then it turns into music and comes out with little effort.Just be patient while your new software is being installed, when you reboot your self all will be in order.Best- Dave
